Effect of application Spy Technique Game on improving the spoken language proficiency in IIEFL learners

Not  surprisingly,  spoken  language   presents   a   serious    linguistic

obstacle to many non-native  English  students. They  must  learn  lots  of

skills that  speakers  and  writers  of English  language use. In  a  study of

university students  L2  by  Meara  (۱۹۸۴)  speaking  errors  outnumbered

grammatical errors by 4:1. Similarly, a survey of   L2  university students

found that they identified  spoken  language  as a  major  factor  that  held

them back in academic speaking tasks (Zimmerman,1997).

Statement of the problem

Speaking skill is a  major  obstacle  to  many  Iranian  students. Most of

them are faced with the problem of “lack of communication  ability” .

They always complain about communication problems in speaking and

understanding  in real situation  with  native  speakers,  media  press,  and

expressions fade  away after a few days of memorisation. Is there a better

way of learning or acquiring speaking ability.
